His dam (Forever Crazy) is a sister to the dam of winning Hong Kong Racehorse, Beauty Legacy. Formally named Hawkshot in Australia, winner of the Group 2 Autumn Stakes.
Encosta de Lago has an exceptional record as a broodmare sire. Being the broodmare sire of over 70 black type winners, including 9 at Group 1 level.
This colt has a very athletic frame. He has a strong hip, good bone and possesses a big fluent and forward action.
He covers the ground extremely efficiently, and reports from the breaking in yard and the stable at Rosehill indicate the colt displays a mature, professional attitude towards his work.
